To change your default email program:

Mac OS 8.5 & 9

  1. From the Finder, select menu item: Apple Menu > Control Panels > Internet.
  2. Click on the Email tab.
  3. Click and hold on the Default Email Application pulldown menu and select your preferred email application.
  4. If your preferred email client is not in the pulldown use Select to find your preferred choice.
  5. Close the window.
  6. When prompted, click on Save to save changes.

Mac OS 10

  1. From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.
  2. Click the Show All icon at the top left of the window.
  3. Click the Internet icon.
  4. Click on the Email tab.
  5. Click the arrow box on the Default Email Reader pop-up list and choose Select.
  6. Select the email client you wish to use from the list.
  7. Close the Internet window.
