QuickMail vs. Desktop
what the difference?
Using Campus Groups, you can send email addresses to your email program by clicking the "QuickMail" or "Desktop" links. These options are available in Campus Groups on both the My Groups page (see Figure 1) and the My Cart page.

QuickMail Compose
Clicking on a QuickMail Compose link in Campus Groups will send the email address(es) to a compose window using QuickMail. You can then create and send a message to the email address(es).
Use QuickMail if:
- You have NOT configured an email program, like Apple Mail or MS Outlook, on the computer that you are using.
- You are using a public workstation or someone else's computer.
- You are emailing 10 or less individual email addresses.
Do not use QuickMail if:
- You would like to include an attachment.
- You are emailing more than 10 individual email addresses.
Desktop Compose
Clicking on a Desktop Compose link in Campus Groups will send the email address(es) to the default email program, like Apple Mail or MS Outlook, installed on your computer . You can then create and send a message to the email address(es).
Use Desktop compose if:
- You have configured a default email program on your computer.
