Composing and Sending Email in Entourage Web Services

important

Entourage 2008 — Web Services edition is the only version of Entourage supported by ITS for use in the Exchange environment. However it is not recommended. ITS strongly recommends that Entourage users upgrade to Office 2011 and use Outlook for Macintosh.

Entourage 2008 currently comes installed on BCCR computers but it is NOT the Web Services Edition. You will need to upgrade. To learn about upgrading to the Web Services Edition, please contact your TC (Technology Consultant).

Sending email from Entourage works very similarly to other email programs you have used.  To send messages from Entourage:

 1. With your email displayed, click New in the toolbar (see Figure 1).

2. Click to the right of the To field and type the email address of the recipient. If you are sending to someone at Boston College, you only need to type their name. To send to multiple people, press tab after each recipient (see Figure 2).

3. To send a copy of the message to one or more people, enter their names in the Cc: or Bcc: field the same way you would in the To: field.
