Exchange Calendaring Essentials
Think of the Meeting Message as the Meeting
- Exchange is an integrated email and calendaring system; all meeting invitations, changes, deletions, etc. are delivered through an email message.
Deleting the message, deletes the meeting from your calendar.
Forwarding the meeting message may generate a new invitation.
- Always interact with the calendar via the email message
Use the icons that are provided at the top of the email message to update your calendar.
Requires Outlook, OWA, or MAC OS X (Apple) Mail configured for Exchange with Snow Leopard.
- Always opt to send a response - do not choose "Don't Send a Response"
If you want the meeting organizer to know whether or not you are attending, you must opt to send the response.
