New Graduate and Professional Student Orientation 2012
thursday, august 30, 2012
Congratulations on your acceptance to Boston College! The Office of Graduate Student Life, the Office of the Provost, University Libraries, and the Graduate Student Association look forward to welcoming you to Boston College and to the Boston area during our "New Graduate and Professional Student Orientation" Program.
The 2012 Orientation program will be on Thursday, August 30th, 2012.
As a new graduate or professional student, you join a community of scholars that comprises one third of the entire student population at Boston College. The purpose of our orientation program is to introduce you to your new community, which includes nearly 5,000 graduate and professional students studying in 8 schools, and to familiarize you with a broad range of University resources and orient you to the greater Boston area. This program is meant to serve as a complement to (not a substitute for) your school/department-based orientation programs.
To that end, the New Graduate and Professional Student Orientation program includes a variety of activities, ranging from informational sessions to social events, during which you will have an opportunity to meet new and returning graduate students, and to connect with BC administrators and staff throughout the university who are here to support your student learning.
Below you will find a schedule for last year's program. Please check back later for the 2012 schedule, and email newgrad@bc.edu with any questions.
