As a new graduate or professional student, you join a community of scholars that comprises one third of the entire student population at Boston College. The purpose of our orientation program is to introduce you to your new community, which includes nearly 5,000 graduate and professional students studying in 8 schools, and to familiarize you with a broad range of University resources and orient you to the greater Boston area. This program is meant to serve as a complement to (not a substitute for) your school/department orientation programs.
To that end, the New Graduate and Professional Student Orientation program includes a variety of activities, ranging from informational sessions to social events, during which you will have an opportunity to meet new and returning graduate students, and to connect with BC administrators and staff throughout the university who are here to support your student learning.
