What is a Team Leader?
On each 48HOURS weekend, approximately 10 upperclassmen join the team as Team Leaders. Each Team Leader is assigned a group of 10 first-year students; during the retreat weekend Team Leaders are the heart of the program. By engaging in personal discussions with their groups, they share the advice and the wisdom they have collected over the years.
The Team Leaders' mission begins even before the weekend starts, by contacting their groups and arranging a dinner to introduce everyone. Their roles continue after the weekend ends, as well. Team Leaders are encouraged to keep in touch with their groups, helping provide valuable advice and friendship based on a mentoring relationship that 48HOURS initiates.
What do I need to become a Team Leader?
First of all, Team Leaders must have a great attitude -- positive, enthusiastic, cooperative, and willing to work very hard. Second, they must support the philosophy of the 48HOURS program. Third, they must like interacting with people.
How do I apply to become a Team Leader?
If you are interested in being a 48HOURS Team Leader, submit the Team Leader Application. After applications are reviewed, candidates will be contacted for an interview. Team Leaders must attend mandatory training dates as a leadership team. Unfortunately, because of the large numbers of applicants, we are not able to work with all the wonderful upperclassmen who apply to be Team Leaders.
Thank you for your interest in the 48HOURS Program! We look forward to hearing from you!
48HOURS Team Leader Applications are closed.
