Housekeeping is responsible for the custodial support of the following areas:

• Academic & administrative buildings
• Athletic facilities
• Residence halls

Housekeeping also assists the programs listed below:

• Recycling program
• Pest control
• Bureau of Conferences

Approximately 153 union custodians and eight supervisors work over three shifts, providing 24/7 coverage.

In addition to the traditional and routine custodial responsibilities, the Housekeeping staff also provides support to the University in the following areas:

• Supplementing the snow removal effort of the Grounds Department
• Coordinating the replacement and upgrade of classroom furniture
• Coordinating the replacement and upgrade of blinds and drapery in academic, administrative, and athletic facilities
• Support for the Summer Conference schedule
