The Auxiliary Services Athletic Maintenance group manages the facilities infrastructure operations of Boston College's Athletic Facilities.
The intensely utilized facilities include approximately 850,000 square feet of building space and 10 acres of natural grass fields. The Athletics Maintenance group also supports the programming needs for over 4,500 visits per week to the Flynn Recreation Complex, 5,192 students in intramural programs, 430,000 Boston College fans who attend athletic events, and major Boston College activities such as Pops on the Heights and the University Commencement.
The facilities include:

Flynn Recreation Complex is a multi-purpose facility that contains indoor and outdoor tennis courts, indoor track, pool, racquetball, squash and a practice basketball court. The facility supports Commencement-related functions, a Health Services Health Fair, Career Fairs, and the Alumni Association Fan Fest.

"The Plex" is also the primary exercise facility for our students, faculty, and staff. The Athletic Maintenance group is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the facility, function setups, and upkeep of the outdoor tennis and basketball courts.

Alumni Stadium has a capacity of 44,500 spectators for 6 to 7 NCAA Division 1 football games and is also home to Women’s Lacrosse and Field Hockey. The field surface is a synthetic Astroturf that is covered in mid-November by a plastic dome (bubble) erected over the playing surface. The winter facility is used for practice by varsity sports, as well as student intramural activities and groups, until the bubble is removed in mid-March. Alumni Stadium is the home of the University's Commencement in May and supports a variety of Boston College and community needs.

Conte Forum is a multi-purpose facility that has a capacity of 7,600 for hockey and 8,500 for basketball. The facility utilizes a portable basketball floor that is installed for all men’s and women’s basketball games. The facility contains all the administrative offices for the Athletic Department and support departments and facilities for the Athletic Department.

The Athletic Maintenance staff is responsible for the facilities support of all Boston College events that are coordinated through the Bureau of Conferences Department. These events include the University Commencement, Pops on the Heights, Baccalaureate Mass, Senior Career Day, student events sponsored by the Office of Student Development, and various community and youth sport programs.

Shea Field is a five (5) acre natural grass field that contains the Baseball and Softball fields and also serves as a practice Football field and a home for most intramural sports.
The Athletic Maintenance Department is responsible for all the playing surfaces, irrigation, game and practice field conditions, and lining of the fields to comply with NCAA regulations.
Boston College's soccer fields are located on our Newton Campus. The facility consists of a practice and a game field located on five (5) acres of natural turf. As with Shea Field, the Athletic Maintenance group is responsible for the playing surfaces, irrigation, games and practice conditions, and lining of the fields to comply with NCAA regulations.
