Occupational Health & Safety Programs
Boston College is committed to furnishing a workplace that is free from recognized hazards that are likely to cause death, injury, or illness. In order to implement this policy, various health and safety programs have been developed in accordance with Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. These programs assist in protecting employees during their various work functions.
Compliance with Federal and State occupational safety regulations is a top priority at Boston College. The Office of Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) is committed to working with each department to ensure the safety and health of all staff, faculty, and students. This is conducted through employee training, onsite inspections, permitting, remediation of hazards and dissemination, documentation of information, etc.
