Technology Training

Information Technology Services Training for core business and office software applications used at the University for both Windows and Mac users. For current course materials choose the 'resources' link. See also Microsoft E-learning at Boston College as well as other available resources.

Instructional Design and eTeaching Services Helps instructors integrate technology into their teaching through individual consultations, workshops and educational programs.

Credit Course and Degree Programs

Woods College of Advancing Studies offers free classes in the evening for full-time employees. CAS also offers a Master’s degree in Administrative Studies.

The Graduate School of Arts & Sciences offers the following programs of study: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Master of Arts (MA), and Master of Sciences (MS). The School also admits as Special Students, those not seeking a degree who are interested in taking courses for personal enrichment.

The Carroll School of Management offers an Evening MBA program.

The Lynch School of Education offers Master's and Doctoral programs in university administration and student development.

The School of Theology and Ministry offers Master's and Doctoral degrees, civil and ecclesiastical degrees, New Testament Abstracts, and a wide variety of continuing education offerings.

Safety Training

The Office of Environmental Health & Safety provides health and safety training, information, and compliance assistance.

The BC Police Department conducts seminars and other community service activities to keep employees aware of safety issues.

Center for Ignatian Spirituality Offers faculty and staff retreats, one on one conversations and spiritual direction, workshops, lectures and discussion groups.

Healthy You: Working Together for Your Wellness Healthy You A series of health management programs designed to help faculty and staff understand, improve, and maintain their health.

Campus Recreation Programs Include aquatics, fitness, group fitness, and personal training. Also from Campus Recreation is monthly wellness information sessions to help you achieve a healthier life. Information will be updated as it becomes available.

Weston Observatory

Weston Observatory offers academic year colloquium series on a variety topics. Includes Colloquium Series and Evening & Weekend Workshops in Seismology for Adults

 

Off-Campus Training and Development Opportunities

As a member of the Boston Consortium for Higher Education, Boston College can offer its employees additional learning opportunities and resources at a reasonable cost.
