University-wide Training and Development OpportunitiesTechnology TrainingInformation Technology Services and Communication offers free training classes in technology topics and works to communicate with the University about major ITS projects. Microsoft e-Learning at Boston College Due to enhancements from Microsoft, courses are now available in multiple languages. You may access Microsoft’s e-Learning program as part of Boston College’s license agreement with Microsoft. Credit Course and Degree ProgramsWoods College of Advancing Studies offers free classes in the evening for full-time employees. CAS also offers a Master’s degree in Administrative Studies. The Graduate School of Arts & Sciences offers the following programs of study: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Master of Arts (MA), and Master of Sciences (MS). The School also admits as Special Students, those not seeking a degree who are interested in taking courses for personal enrichment. The Carroll School of Management offers an Evening MBA program. The Lynch School of Education offers Master's and Doctoral programs in university administration and student development. The School of Theology and Ministry offers Master's and Doctoral degrees, civil and ecclesiastical degrees, New Testament Abstracts, and a wide variety of continuing education offerings. SpiritualityBC’s C21 Online (Church in the 21st Century Online) offers non-credit courses for spiritual renewal and ongoing faith formation. Free for BC employees. Safety TrainingThe Office of Environmental Health & Safety provides health and safety training, information, and compliance assistance. Off-Campus Training and Development OpportunitiesAs a member of the Boston Consortium for Higher Education, Boston College can offer its employees additional learning opportunities and resources at a reasonable cost. If you are interested, you can enroll directly online, or call (781) 292-4790 once you have obtained the requisite approval from your department. Continuing Education ProgramsAdult learning centers, as well as some colleges and universities, offer short-term non-credit skills courses and certificate programs.
