Communicate a Winning Professional Image

Your personal presence and professional ‘style’ have a bearing on the way you are viewed by colleagues, customers and management.  The impression you communicate–positive or negative–can give you a positive edge to job assignments and career mobility or, can bring your career progression to a standstill.

This half-day workshop reveals the essential ingredients of a winning professional image. A combination of self-assessment tools, interactive exercises, lecture and discussion will help you:

  • Assess your current image status
  • Gain specific suggestions for enhancing it
  • Identify how to reshape your image, project authority, and improve your credibility (and opportunities) in the workplace.

We’ll address such topics as the impact of your personal appearance, verbal and non verbal communication habits, business etiquette, electronic etiquette, unspoken office rules, and how image influences performance.

Dealing with Setbacks on Your Way to Success

This program will help you look at where you are and where you are going and how to get there dealing with setbacks along the way. Some of the aspects of surviving in today’s workplace include:

  • understanding the facts of today’s workplace,
  • dealing with changing yourself—the challenge of new duties/responsibilities, getting people to work with you
  • keeping things in perspective
  • developing your kit bag of career skills
  • promoting yourself and your future

You will learn how to:

  • deal with setbacks and help you to plan and manage your own career success.
  • motivate yourself to succeed in a changing workplace environment.
  • figure out where you are and where do you want to go?
  • manage yourself—dealing with failure and success—as  you go forward
