EVIDENCE COLLECTION AND MEDICAL TREATMENT

Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANEs) are specially trained nurses who provide immediate, compassionate, and comprehensive medical-legal evaluation and treatment.  SANEs have the experience to anticipate survivor needs during this time of crisis and provide survivors with complete information about choices. This allows survivors to make informed decisions about the care they want to receive. Every part of the evidence collection exam is voluntary and can be completed anonymously without reporting to the police.
