The Student Conduct Board consists of student members from all classes at Boston College. The
board is coordinated by three chairpersons under the supervision of a Senior Associate Dean in the Office of the Dean of Students. The board is also assisted by a graduate student from the Dean of Students Office.

Mission of the Student Conduct Board

The Student Conduct Board exists to provide students charged with violating the University Code of Student Conduct the opportunity to be heard in a fair and impartial environment by a board of their peers. The board's function is to determine responsibility based on evidence presented and, if appropriate, to issue sanctions. All decisions of the board regarding sanctions are recommendations to be reviewed by the Dean of Students.

The Student Conduct Board is comprised of individuals who represent the Boston College student body. The objective of the board in each case it adjudicates is to educate students of their rights and responsibilities as members of the student body in order to uphold community standards. In keeping with the Jesuit tradition, the board strives to encourage sound moral judgment and to maintain respect for truth, self, and others at Boston College and in the surrounding communities.

The Student Conduct Board does not discriminate against students based on race, creed, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, or disability.
