Welcome to Boston College!
On behalf of the Office of the Dean of Students (DOS), I would like to welcome you to Boston College. Your decision to attend a Jesuit, Catholic University will provide you with many opportunities to grow intellectually, personally, socially, and spiritually. I invite you to make the most out of your Boston College education by partaking of the many resources that are available to develop your leadership skills and to engage with faculty and administrators, as we are looking forward to participating in your growth and development.
As we begin a new academic year, I encourage you to familiarize yourself with the Student Guide (available online at www.bc.edu/studentguide). It outlines your rights and responsibilities as a student and the community standards for which you will be held accountable. If you have questions or concerns about any of the information provided in the guide, feel free to stop by the Office of the Dean of Students, Maloney Hall, Suite 212 or contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We are a great resource for students, particularly as we address a variety of issues including students in crisis or distress, off campus student life, civility and respect, inclusion, disability, gender and sexuality, diversity, and student behavior.
I hope you will embrace all the richness of our diverse community. Best of luck in all of your endeavors here at Boston College.
Paul J. Chebator, Ph.D.
