Major-Specific Career Events
boston college career center
The Career Center sponsors a variety of career fairs for specific majors. If you plan to attend any of the following events, be sure to check these tips on preparing for a career fair.
Boston College K-12 Education Career Fair
The Education Fair features 60 representatives from public, independent, Catholic, and charter schools, as well as a number of non-school employers, such as the Peace Corps, Citizen Schools, and EF Education. It’s a great opportunity to practice your networking skills and make valuable connections.
The fair is open to all Boston College students and alumni. While some employers seek only those candidates who will have state certification, many are interested in speaking with candidates with any background and degree.
Workshops and other prep events will be available. In the meantime, take a look at our Tips on Preparing for a Career Fair or watch our YouTube video series on Career Fair Prep.
A&S Career Events
During the academic year, A&S alumni return to campus to speak about their careers in panels and career-related skills trainings. These will take place on Tuesday evenings in Vanderslice.
Science Night, happening on Monday, February 10, gives students an inside perspective into science career fields by networking with fellow Eagles.
Check EagleLink for details and to RSVP.
Nursing Career Fair
Held in December each year, the Nursing Career Fair gives nursing students the opportunity to meet employers and graduate school representatives and to practice their networking skills. The event, hosted by the Career Center and the Connell School of Nursing, is part of the Annual East Coast Nursing Consortium Career Days.
The Nursing Fair will be on Monday, December 9 from 12pm - 2pm in the Murray Function Room and will feature a LinkedIn Photobooth.
