Massachusetts Institute for New Teachers
MINT is an alternative route to Initial certification designed for mid-career
professionals, recent college graduates, and college seniors who aspire to teach
at public middle or high schools, but don't have a traditional background in
teacher preparation. MINT provides an accelerated certification process through
an intensive seven-week training program.
- The New England Association for Employment in Education (NEAEE) will award $500 to a teacher who will begin his/her professional career in September.
- The intent of this award is to recognize and acknowledge the professional aspirations of an outstanding educator as well as to provide financial assistance to the new professional.
- Application deadline is in early February.
