State Departments of Education
Links to all 50 states' Department of Education Web sites. Most of these contain information about certification, and some go way beyond, with school district and charter school profiles, teaching resources, and information about special programs and special needs schools.
Search for public school districts
Often the best search will be on a zip code and a distance from that that zip code. You can also use their Search for public schools function to find schools with particular criteria (charter or magnet schools; vocational schools; special education).

USTeach
A recently introduced teacher job site created by a non-profit consortium of states. As of 7/99, job listings were available for some school districts in California, Washington and Delaware.
Council for Exceptional Children - CEC Career Connections
The only job bank on the Internet devoted exclusively to special education professionals. CEC provides three ways for employers and jobseekers to connect: a job bank; a resume database; and a consultant, trainer and expert witness directory.
Midwest Education Jobs Page
Generates a long list of current education openings, some of which are in K - 12 schools.
- Teachers@Work is the selected Internet recruitment resource for schools in Colorado and Virginia as well as individual schools and districts in 40 other states.
- We are a free resource for teachers to post their educational credentials and other specialties on line for schools nation wide to view. An automatic email will be sent to schools seeking teachers with matching credentials, and teachers will receive automatic emails of new matching jobs as they are posted by schools.
