Social Work Job Listings

Though you should generally not spend more than 20% of your job search looking for job listings on the Web, some good resources do exist.

The best job Web sites tend to be those that allow agencies to post their job openings for free (including state employment service offices).

Two other strategies to remember:

  1. The most effective job search involves assessing your own needs and desires, then identifying agencies and organizations that are likely to bring you the greatest career satisfaction. For more information on this strategy, click here. For listings of social service agencies on the Web and in print, click here.
  2. Some larger social service agencies post job listings on their Web sites. Sometimes these jobs are not advertised anywhere else. For listings of social service agencies on the Web and in print, click here.
