YOUR ONE-STOP SHOP FOR CAREER INFORMATION

The Career Resource Library is located in the garden level of the Career Center at 38 Commonwealth Ave., and is open Monday thru Friday from 9-5, with extended hours until 7:30pm on Tuesdays & Wednesdays.  The library’s print and electronic resources and Internet access are open to all BC students, alumni and staff members. 

Computers

Several computers with MS Word are available to access the Career Center website, create resumes, find job & internship opportunities, research companies and organizations and… possibilities!  Free black and white printing on regular office paper is also available.  Additonally, a photocopier and a document scanner are accessible with the assitance of a staff member. 

Books

The Career Resource Library contains hundreds of books and publications available for your browsing.  Our materials cover every aspect of researching majors, occupations, employers, graduate programs, and scholarships; find information on full-time employment, seasonal jobs, internships, study or working abroad, and volunteer opportunities.

Subscriptions

The Library subscribes to several print periodicals for your career and industry-related needs, such as The Boston Business Journal, Fortune Magazine, Business Week, The Chronicle of Higher Education, ArtSEARCH, Career Development Quarterly, and Job Choices Magazine.

Online Resources

As a Boston College student, you have 24/7 access to a variety databases to which the Career Center subscribes.  For a full list of these databases and to access the login information for these, please log into EagleLink and look for the password sheet in the Document Library, or contact the librarian.
