Procurement Services assists University staff, faculty, and students in the ethical, efficient and effective acquisition of goods and services to support the Universities educational and research missions, in accordance with the University procurement policies and procedures.
Procurements responsibilities include, but are not limited to, vendor registration and maintenance, review of specifications, creation and analysis of requests for proposals and competitive bids, contract terms and price negotiations, review of sole source documentation, creation of purchase orders, assessment of risk factors, facilitation of deliveries and installations, management of vendor and other non-payroll related payments, tax and other reporting, and administration of associated systems such as the purchasing card and travel programs.

Campus Mail Services, in partnership with Procurement Services, has recently launched a University-wide operational efficiency initiative. One key component of this initiative is to decrease the volume of insufficiently addressed and misdirected mail on campus. The mailroom receives over 100 pieces of mail per week addressed with incomplete mailing information, causing delays and costly inefficiencies. Please make sure your external partners always have complete mailing information.
There is a nationwide scam targeting Universities/Colleges - Fraudulent Purchase Orders sent to suppliers, requesting delivery to an address not associated with the University.
A mandated program has been implemented for all University printed materials.

Boston College has contracted with AMS Imaging to provide scanning services for the University.
