BCPD Promotes Five

At a recent recognition ceremony attended by family, friends and colleagues, five members of the Boston College Police Department were recognized for being promoted to various leadership positions within the department.

Introductory remarks were made by Financial Vice President Peter McKenzie who congratulated those being promoted and highlighted some of the recent accomplishments of the BCPD. 

 John King, Director of Public Safety and Chief of the Boston College Police noted, “These promotions will further serve to improve the delivery of services to our community and will strengthen our community policing initiatives.  Those being promoted today are being recognized for their contributions to the department’s successes and in these new roles will have a more direct influence on our department’s strategic objectives.” 

The promotions became effective January 1st, 2014.
