The Boston College Marching Band Golden Eagles Dance Team, along with the Color Guard, helps deliver an extra visual impact for the Marching Band throughout the Eagles’ football season. The "Screaming Eagles" Marching Band is an integral part of the Boston College game-day experience. The Band brings spirit to the Superfans, inspires the Eagles to victory, and promotes a positive atmosphere for all to enjoy!
TIME COMMITMENT
All members of the Golden Eagles Dance Team are required to attend all home football games, parades, pep rallies, and other predetermined functions of the Marching Band. Rehearsals take place every Tuesday and Thursday, 6:45-10:00 p.m., September through November. All members typically attend one predetermined away football game and any of the post-season games (e.g., the ACC Championship or a bowl game) with the full Marching Band.
AUDITION PROCESS
For Returning Members: Auditions for returning members will be held in May at the Brighton Campus Dance Studio. Please contact Band instructor, David Healey (healeyda@bc.edu), for more details.
For New Members: We hold auditions by video. Please visit the BC Golden Eagle Dance Team Youtube Channel for video audition instructions. Once all videos have been evaluated, we will invite chosen candidates to join the BC Golden Eagles Dance Team. You can expect to be notified during the last week in July.
