Born and raised in Doylestown, PA, Tim graduated from Boston College in 1978. Through a BC connection, Tim moved to Los Angeles in ’79 and quickly joined THE GROUNDLINGS, LA’s premier improv and comedy group. There he worked with such notables Phil Hartman, Paul “Pee Wee Herman” Reubens, Jon Lovitz, and Lisa Kudrow to name a few. Using The Groundlings as a home base, Tim started with guest-starring in over 50 roles on TV and in 1983 he was cast in his first series, Reggie. Then there was Our Time in 1985, Parker Lewis Can’t Lose in 1989 and while all of this was going on Tim began writing. He wrote two television movies Shades of Gray and Glory Days. He also wrote episodes for various TV shows and had a short writing sting on Saturday Night Live. He was able to combine the two talents, acting and writing, in ’94 by co-creating and starring in the talk-show spoof, Nightstand With Dick Dietrick. He then went on to do the same when he partnered with Howard Stern for the Baywatch spoof, Son Of The Beach. Today, Tim shares his time between his Pumpcast spots for Jay Leno and as a performer/Consulting Producer for the show, My Name Is Earl. He lives in Santa Barbara with his wife Jan and their two children Murphy and Doyle.
