The Creative Writing Concentration is a special track of the English major. Lopez, Elizabeth Martin, Emily Olson, Tracy Rizk, Amy Stephenson, Tessa Trainor, Michael Wolf, and Jennifer Yoo are this year's graduates.

ACT: AHANA Collective Theatre

ACT's mission is to bring plays by AHANA playwrights to the BC community through the immediacy of live theatre. For the Arts Festival we celebrate our rich cultural diversity with three short comedies: Trying to Find Chinatown by David Henry Hwang, Clasyass by Caleen Sinnette Jennings, and Dead Bolivians on a Raft by Guillermo Reyes. Dance Showcase

The Festival Dance Showcases feature an assortment of dance styles – ranging from traditional ballet, jazz, modern, and tap to hip-hop, swing, and step. These showcases feature student choreographers and dancers from 18 different student groups working extensively outside the classroom on their art form.  Intercultural student groups will present exhibitions of their dance styles from all over the world. Rising Up Excerpts

Excerpts from the first-ever dance concert produced by the Theatre Department in collaboration with the student dance community. It will be presented as part of the year-long celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Robsham Theater Arts Center. The pieces from this show will feature jazz, modern, ballet, tap, and other forms choreographed by faculty choreographers Sun Ho Kim, Father Bob Ver Eecke S.J., Margot Parsons, and Kirsten McKinney. Sun Ho Kim is the curator and artistic director of the event. O'Neill Plaza

BC Bands Chamber Music

Members of the University Wind Ensemble showcase their versatility by performing pieces scored for intimate chamber ensembles. Includes percussion groups, saxophone quartets, brass choirs, and more. Gasson 100

A Midsummer Night’s Dream

A Bollywood-style adaptation of one of Shakespeare's most popular comedies. This drama's intertwined love polygons get complicated right from the start: Demetrius and Lysander both want Hermia, but she only has eyes for Lysander. In the forest, they cross paths with Oberon and Titania (King and Queen of the faeries), who are having a spat over a servant boy from the East. The plot twists up when Oberon's head mischief-maker, Puck, runs loose with a flower which causes people to fall in love with the first thing they see upon waking. *Admission $15, $10 for seniors or with a BC ID.
