Boston College Arts Festival Student Art Show Submission

To ensure that your submission is considered, read all of the following BEFORE submitting your work.
BC ARTS FESTIVAL SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
- Only Boston College students may submit artwork to the BC Arts Festival.
- Maximum of four pieces per student
- Every effort will be made to keep artwork secure, however, students submit at their own risk.
- The exhibits are curated by Fine Arts faculty. Not all submissions will be accepted.
- Submitted artwork must be ready to hang; paintings must be wired, works on paper (drawings, watercolors and photographs) must be framed and wired.
Drop Off
Drop off in Devlin Room 415 at the following times:
(If you are submitting work specifically to be considered for the Bapst Gallery exhibition, curated by the Art Club, please submit your work during these times as well using the submission form below.)
- Wednesday, April 17th: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
- Thursday, April 18th: 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
- Friday, April 19th: 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Corresponding art label MUST be attached to each work (see below to print labels).
Awards
Works submitted to the exhibition are eligible for Critics' Choice Awards with cash prizes. Awards are selected by a jury of professional artists and faculty. Awards will be presented at the Stokes Gallery Opening on Thursday, April 25, at the Arts Festival.
Art For Sale
- Works of art on exhibit in the Art Tent can be sold at the Arts Festival.
- Artists must set a price when the work is submitted. The Arts Festival will advertise that this price is non-negotiable.
- The Arts Festival tent volunteers will hand out price lists for the works of art. They will collect cash or check only, with checks made out to the artist.
- Artists will receive an envelope with their revenue at time to be arranged with the Art Tent Director on site.
- Work sold will be labeled with a “dot” on the label. Purchasers may not pick up their work until after the festival is over. (Saturday evening, 6-7 PM)

Pick up
- Artists may pick up their work on Saturday, April 27th: from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM in the Art Tent on Stokes Lawn.
- Work not picked up by 8:00PM on Saturday night will be brought back to the submissions storage space, Room 415 Devlin, for you to retrieve. Once the art is back in Devlin 415, it will be your responsibility to retrieve it. Remember, the longer your work stays there, the greater risk you take of losing it!
- Neither the Arts Festival nor the Fine Arts Department are responsible for your work AFTER 8:00 PM, April 27th. If you do not pick up your work (or send someone to pick it up for you) we will move the piece to Devlin 415, but we are NOT responsible for it.

Ready to Submit?
SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS:
- You must complete ALL fields on the form linked to below.
- You must print and attach a copy of the submission page to the work that you leave in Devlin 415. Submissions without the proper information attached will not be considered.
- You must complete the form for each piece that you submit.
- Again, the Arts Festival and the Fine Arts Department are NOT responsible for any work not picked up by the artist or their representative by Saturday, April 27th, 8:00 PM.
