Propose New Programs or Projects
Each year, the Arts Festival committee accepts applications for new programs and projects. The application window is now closed for the 2014 festival.
Bands and Singer/Songwriters
The festival provides opportunities for singer/songwriters and rock bands to perform. Partnering with UGBC and the Music Guild, the Arts Council encourages BC student musicians to participate in BC’s Best – a talent competition at the festival that is preceded by several preliminary competitions.
Calling all Boston College DJs, electronic music artists, rappers, spoken word poets, and hip hop and break dancers!
The Main Tent on Friday evening at the Arts Festival (April 25, 2014, 9-11pm) is dedicated to to a collaborative program showcasing BC students in often underrepresented genres. Electronic musicians, DJs, mixers, rappers, spoken word poets, break dancers, and hip hop dancers are welcome to apply. Individuals and groups accepted. Don't see your craft listed here? Submit a project proposal explaining what you do and why you would like to be involved.
To get involved in the event, submit the proposal online. Please also use the form to upload any available examples of your work: sound clips, word docs, videos, etc.
PROPOSAL DEADLINE: Friday, February 28, 2014.
Event Date & Time: Friday, April 25, 2014, 9-11pm, Main Tent (O'Neill Plaza)
There will be a craft sale for table items like jewelry, scarves, hand bags, etc., during the Arts Festival. Please send an email to describe your craft and interest by March 17th. Only Boston College students (graduate or undergraduate) are eligible to apply.
The BC student art exhibitions are curated by Professor Sheila Gallagher of the Fine Arts department and The Art Club. Submissions will be collected in April. Sign up to submit your work here.
