Every year, the Boston College Arts Festival brings the Boston College and surrounding communities together to celebrate the arts. The 15th annual Arts Festival committee invites the community to experience the variety of arts at Boston College firsthand. A talented group of more than 1,000 student and faculty artists will present music, theater, dance, poetry, film, painting, sculpture, and more. Enjoy some music, buy some art, try your hand at ceramics, listen to readings, enjoy a play…there’s so much to experience at the BC Arts Festival!
This year, Robert Polito ('73) will receive the Arts Alumni Award in recognition for his accomplishments in scholarship and poetry. Fine Arts Associate Professor Sheila Gallagher is the recipient of the Arts Faculty Award. Polito and Gallagher's awards, along with the Arts Student Awards, will be presented at the Arts Award Ceremony, Friday, April 26, 2013, at 4:00 PM in the Stokes Art Tent.
The reception is free and open to the public, however, registration is required. Register here. If you have questions regarding the event, contact Eva Maynard '97 at 617-552-4757.
The 2013 festival includes a series of events related to Arts and Social Responsibility (identified on the schedule pages with a green leaf) and the Center for Student Formation.
Register to attend the Award Ceremony and Reception at the Arts Festival on Friday, April 26, 2013, at 4:00 p.m. (Stokes Art Tent, Stokes Lawn). Contact:
