"We are more than just an acronym"

Mission Statement

The mission of the Office of AHANA Student Programs is to support all Boston College students, with a particular focus on AHANA and multicultural students, in navigating college life. We strive to promote a welcoming environment that facilitates student learning and formation, integrating their intellectual, cultural, spiritual, and social development.

Guiding Principles

Several overarching goals serve as guiding principles that shape our work and align with the goals of the Division of Student Affairs and the greater University. These are:

  • Contribute to the retention of AHANA and multicultural students by supporting them in navigating college life.

  • Foster student leadership and involvement.

  • Provide opportunities for all students to engage in the intersections of race, culture, spirituality, and social justice.

  • Advocate for the interests and needs of AHANA and multicultural students to the broader BC community.
