Underage and high-risk alcohol use among college students is a complex problem requiring a comprehensive approach. The Campus Task Force on the Reduction of Alcohol-Related Problems consists of leaders across campus who are responsible for key departments which have an impact on student alcohol use. The Task Force charge is to:
- Identify the scope and consequences of problem drinking at Boston College with regards to the academic performance of our students.
- Review existing data and identify potential new areas for data collection on problem drinking and academic performance at Boston College.
- Produce a white paper that recommends specific strategies by which the University can reduce the negative impact of problem drinking on the academic performance of students.
