The Alcohol and Drug Education Program utilizes a comprehensive approach to addressing alcohol and other drug-related problems at Boston College and in the surrounding community. We encourage the university community to join with us through task forces and coalitions to employ multiple strategies, including: 

• Providing education
• Changing the normative environment
• Promoting alcohol-free social options
• Reducing alcohol availability
• Developing alcohol policies and increasing the consistency of enforcement
• Reducing the marketing of alcohol
• Conducting early intervention
• Providing treatment, relapse prevention, and recovery support
