BC Researcher, Undergraduates Pursue ‘Neighborhood Science’ Study in Boston
The National Science Foundation has awarded a two-year $200,000 grant to Lynch School Associate Professor Michael Barnett. This grant will sponsor two projects to excite non-science majors to STEM fields using hydroponics and guerilla science by turning storefront windows into interactive touch screen displays.
Claire Geruson, LSOE '13 Honored with Finnegan Award
The recipient of the Rev. Edward H. Finnegan, S.J. Award for the Class of 2013 is Lynch School student Claire Geruson. Winning the Rev. Edward Finnegan, SJ, Award is the ultimate honor for a Boston College senior, given annually to the senior who exemplifies the University's motto "Ever to Excel."
Lynch School Students Honored for Leadership
Four Lynch School of Education students were honored for their leadership at the 35th Annual Student Leadership Awards Ceremony, hosted by the Student Programs Office on April 29, 2013. The awardees are: Megan Cannavina '14, Erin Hall '13, Bridget Thomas '13, and Kimberly Rodriguez '13.
AERA Releases New Report on the Prevention of Bullying
Lynch School Assistant Professor Paul V. Poteat, along with seven other faculty and researchers who are members of the American Educational Research Association (AERA) Task Force on the Prevention of Bullying in Schools, Colleges, and Universities, have released a new report which includes 11 briefs on bullying and harassment: Prevention of Bullying in Schools, Colleges, and Universities.
