Media Services Forms
Course Reserve Request - For placing on reserve media materials for a course taught in the current semester.
Audio Digitization Request - For converting audio materials into a streaming format.
Digitized Video Search & Requests - For locating existing streaming video; if none is located, submit a request for digitization.
Instructors wishing to use media items for placement in Canvas courses may use these services, which are currently limited to faculty and teaching assistants.

Reserving Media Classroom (O'Neill 211)
To check the availability and to reserve a classroom, please email email@example.com.
To request that material be place on reserve for a course for a course taught during the current semester please complete the Course Reserve Request form or email firstname.lastname@example.org with your syllabus or list of items to be placed on reserve.
Requesting Media Material for Classroom Viewing
Accommodations to the loan periods from all of the above collections can be made for instructors who wish to view media materials during class. To request media materials for classroom viewing, email email@example.com with the date and time you need the media material as well as the title and call number of the item you wish to borrow.
Media Materials on Reserve
Media materials that are listed in the syllabus (on reserve) will be available for checkout with 24 hours’ notice.
Request for media materials on reserve for another course
There may be instances when an instructor would like to show a film that is on reserve for another course. When this occurs, Media or Reserves staff will consult the syllabus or instructor of the other course to determine if the film is needed for that week. This helps ensure that media materials are available for that course.
Items from other media collections
For media not listed on the syllabus, please provide 7 days' advance notice to the Media or Reserves staff. Materials will be placed on the hold shelf at the Circulation Desk located on the 3rd Floor of O’Neill Library.
The O'Neill Media Collection has over 20,000 audiovisual items. All items are listed in the Holmes Catalog. The collections are in several locations in O’Neill Library.
O’Neill Media 7 Day
DVDs and CDs that are not curriculum-based are placed in Media 7 day. DVDs in the media collection circulate for 7 days and can be renewed. All registered users can borrow up to 4 items from this collection at a given time. These materials are located on the 3rd Floor of O'Neill Llibrary
O’Neill Library Circulation Main Desk 7 Days
Materials that are often used in coursework or are difficult to replace are located in the O’Neill Library Circulation Main Desk 7 Days. These materials circulate for 7 days and are not renewable. BC faculty, students and staff can borrow up to 1 item from this collection at a given time. These materials are housed behind the Circulation Desk on the 3rd Floor of O’Neill Library.
Library Course Reserves 3 Hours
Materials needed for a course offered during the current semester are placed on course reserve. Media materials on course reserve are loaned for 3 hours and cannot be renewed. BC faculty, students and staff can borrow up to 1 item from this collection at a given time. These materials are housed behind the Circulation Desk on the 3rd Floor of O’Neill Library. To request that media materials be placed on Course Reserve, please complete the Course Reserve Request form.
O’Neill Library Offsite Collection
VHS, CD-ROMs, Audiocassettes, and laserdiscs are housed in an offsite location. These materials can be requested through Holmes. All registered users can borrow up to 4 items from this collection at a given time. VHS and laserdiscs circulate for 7 days and can be renewed.
O’Neill Library reserves the right to recall or reduce loan times on any item.
