Lasting Relationships Research Data
Focusing on the question of how couples adapt in various aspects of their relationships over the years, the Lasting Relationships Research Data Archive provides open access to interview data from 108 couples in relationships lasting an average of 30 years. The research study was conducted during the 1990s by Prof. Richard Mackey (GSSW), Eileen Mackey and Prof. Bernard O’Brien (LSOE). The subjects recruited for interviews represent a wide array of experiences, including people of color, lower income couples, lesbian and gay couples. This first data deposition is the result of a strong collaborative effort between Professor Mackey, the Libraries and Research Services, ITS. The archive includes articles and dissertations based on the collected data, as well as the interview guide, coding sheet and themes from the interviews. If you are interested in depositing data in eScholarship@BC, please contact either your library liaison or Jane Morris, Scholarly Communications Librarian.
