Six letters from this Burns Library manuscript collection reveal experiences of a family living through the years of the Great Famine in Ireland. The collection contains letters from James Prendergast of Milltown, County Kerry, writing to his children Julia, Jeffrey, and Thomas in Boston. The selected letters are on display in the John J.
