The Center works with organizations in the Allston-Brighton community that sponsor programs for the elderly. There are opportunities for volunteers to visit regularly one on one with an elder. Additionally, volunteers are needed to assist elderly residents in the Allston-Brighton community with yard work and/or shoveling snow throughout the fall, winter and spring. The Neighborhood Center partners with Little Brothers, Friends of the Elderly, Boston Chapter to match Boston College volunteers with elders through their program.  To find out more information and/or to become a volunteer, contact Megan Curtis, Volunteer Coordinator, Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly, Boston.
