Volunteer Opportunities

the neighborhood center

If you have two hours to spare a week or a few hours a month you can easily make a difference in someone's life, as well as expand your learning experience beyond the Boston College campus. Participate in one of our programs. Become a Neighborhood Volunteer. Call us at (617) 552-0445 or stop by our Center in Brighton to view our bulletin board for information about events in the community and on campus. We are open Monday through Friday from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. Please give us any ideas you may have for future programs or activities.

The Neighborhood Center sponsors English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes at the Center and in the Allston-Brighton community. The classes are taught by Boston College volunteers. Experience teaching or tutoring English is beneficial but not necessary as training is provided.
