msc. in executive leadership

The Irish Institute is pleased to haved hosted, in cooperation with the Business Institute at Ulster University and Irish Times Training, the international component of the 2007 University of Ulster’s MSc in Executive Leadership Program, which took place in Boston, March 24 – March 30, 2007.  This program brought together eighteen senior executives from Ireland and Northern Ireland for a series of interactive seminars with distinguished faculty, roundtable discussions with industry leaders, and site visits to innovative organizations in the Boston area.

Since 2000, the Irish Institute has worked closely with the University of Ulster to offer an international component to many of its executive Master’s programs.  The 2007 Executive Leadership Program built on the success of previous programs, exposing participants to best practice models in the U.S. and providing them with international networking links.

While in Boston, the participants attended graduate-level seminars led by Professor Victoria Crittenden, Professor John Gallaugher, Professor Mike O’Leary, and Professor Rich Hanna, Boston College Carroll School of Management.  Additionally, the group had the opportunity to meet some of the most innovative and successful industry leaders across the state of Massachusetts: Dr. Frank Ollington, Senior Vice-President Operations of Genzyme; Brian Fitzgerald, Senior Marketing Programs Manager of EMC; Bill Walczak, CEO of Codman Square Health Center; Deirdre Calbeck, Marketing Department at Endeca; and Nancy Harhut, Senior Vice-President and Executive Creative Director, Relationship Marketing, and Mark Mylan, Senior Vice-President of Strategy, Hill | Holliday.
