The Irish Institute, in cooperation with the Carroll School of Management, is pleased to have hosted the international component of the LIMAK-Johannes Kepler University Business School's MBA program, July 15 to 29, 2006. This program brought over 20 business executives from Austria and Germany to Boston for two weeks of coursework which included seminars with Boston College faculty from the Carroll School of Management and site visits to some of the leading and most innovative companies in the Boston area.

The academic component of the program focused on a number of different topics, addressing in particular leadership in a global environment, strategic change management, relationship management, knowledge management, decision making processes, innovation in marketing, and international business management and negotiation.

Participants also visited leading companies throughout Massachusetts to engage in discussion with their American peers and explore the practical applications of classroom theory.  The companies visited during these programs included New Balance; Teradyne; Cisco Systems; Bright Horizons; and the Center for Corporate Citizenship at Boston College.
