Research
The IOA will provide a focal point for dissemination efforts that will broaden the audience for research being conducted from across the campus.
Community
The IOA will contribute to the broader community beyond Boston College by developing innovative ideas to address a variety of social, economic, and health issues related to an aging society.
Teaching
The IOA will bolster teaching by creating a coherent curriculum in aging studies. The IOA will also help to assist faculty at Boston College interested in aging related research.
Fundraising
The IOA will buttress fundraising efforts for each of three defined Aging Centers and, where appropriate, encourage the development of other research centers on aging-related topics
