Prior to joining the Center, Assistant Director Tim Karcz worked in the field of international public health, where he was a Project Support Officer supporting health programs related to maternal and child health, reproductive health, HIV/AIDS and pandemic influenza in Latin America and Africa.
 
He has also worked domestically at the community level, serving as project coordinator in founding a transitional housing program for women with children transitioning out of homelessness in the Merrimack Valley region of Massachusetts.  Tim has also worked with immigrant populations in the US, serving as a citizenship caseworker in California during his time in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, and is fluent in Spanish.
