"Our Disappeared":

The Center for Human Rights and International Justice in collaboration with the Fine Arts Department, Latin American Studies and the Theology Department are proud to present the film "Our Disappeared" by Juan Mandelbaum on Thursday, February 5 at 7 PM in Room 127 of the Merkert Chemistry Hall. The director will lead a discussion after the screening.

"Our Disappeared" profiles the fates of thousands who were kidnapped, tortured and then "disappeared" by the Argentinean military during the 1976-1983 dictatorship. The director, Juan Mandelbaum, shares dramatic stories told by parents, siblings, friends and children of the disappeared and shows how brutal regimes can attack the fabric of a country and inflict suffering that lasts for generations.
