Distinguished First-Year Scholars Program
the clough center for the study of constitutional democracy
The Distinguished First-Year Scholars program offers an opportunity for a select group of freshmen to join a lively intellectual community and to participate in research projects with faculty mentors and scholars at the University. The program can help Scholars clarify their own intellectual directions, forge close relationships with faculty and scholars who share their interests, develop advanced research skills, and build a foundation for even greater achievements throughout their four years at Boston College. In the best of outcomes, First‑Year Scholars will find themselves gripped by important questions and issues that will hold their fascination throughout their lives.
