Clough Distinguished Lectures in Jurisprudence
the clough center for the study of constitutional democracy
About the Lecture Series
The Clough Distinguished Lectures in Jurisprudence is a joint initiative of the Clough Center for the Study of Constitutional Democracy and the Boston College Law School.
As we contemplate the present and its possible futures, we recognize the extraordinary challenges that now confront the cognitive, normative and creative powers of the mind. From the early days of civilization, jurisprudence has provided a vantage point from which to understand, evaluate and engage the challenges of the time. The Clough Distinguished Lectures in Jurisprudence is part of this long jurisprudential tradition, promoting the presentation and debate of rigorous, plural and creative work in legal thought that confronts the challenges of our time.
