Imam Talal Eid is Founder and Director of Religious Affairs at the Islamic Institute of Boston, as well as the Muslim Chaplain at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brandeis University. Originally from Lebanon, he is a graduate of al-Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt, 1974. From 1975 to 1982 he served as the Imam of Al-Nasir Mosque in Tripoli, Lebanon. In 1982 he moved to the Boston area, where he served as the Imam and Religious Director of the Islamic Center of New England for 23 years. Imam Eid holds a masters degree and a doctorate in theological studies from Harvard Divinity School. He is the proud father of 7 children.
