BCAlumni Twitter Chat with Brad Bates

The new BC AD answers questions from alumni via social media

On May 8th, @BCAlumni sat down and talked with @BCBradBates to answer alumni questions. Using the hashtag #AskBradBates, alumni submitted questions via Twitter. Bates was candid, funny, and energetic. He enthusiastically answered each question, including some regarding men's lacrosse, the new baseball stadium, and even one about his amazing hair!

Here are some highlights from the chat. Bates has said that he is looking forward to answering more questions in the future.

Bates starts off with a response to @eagle98alum's question regarding the possibility for EagleWalk on Shea Field this fall.

On a related note, user @RJM617 asks for some reassurance that the tailgating scene on Shea Field will be improved.

Many users expressing interest in baseball and softball stadiums on the Brighton campus are met with a promising response.

Basketball is also brought into the discussion, as user @SoaringtoGlory asks how Bates plans on increasing attendance.

A Varsity Men's Lacrosse team is, of course, a primary topic of interest as well.

User @redfabbri asks about Bates' take on 'modern uniforms'.

Jerry York is thrown into the mix as @BCcampion asks Bates about his retirement plans.

Bates discusses the possibility of a new, 'dynamic' ticket pricing system.

And finally, the interview would not be complete without acknowledging the most important topic of all.

The interview proved to be very informative, promising a successful and exciting future in Boston College athletics. Were it not for the contributions of the Boston College Alumni community and, of course, Brad Bates, this would not have been possible. Bates concludes the interview with a tweet of his own.
