BC’s Year in Review
- BC was ranked 31st among national universities, according to U.S.News & World Report
- The University broke ground on Stokes Hall, the first academic building to be constructed on the Middle Campus since 2001
- The coed sailing team won the Gill/ICSA Dinghy National Championship for the second consecutive year
- The University ranked 13th among the nation’s top private institutions in terms of student applications
- The theater department staged six productions, including “Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde” and “The Trestle at Pope Lick Creek”, which were fully directed and designed by students
- More than 90 percent of BC’s student-athletes volunteered their time in local communities
University Giving: By the Numbers
- 29,521 donors made gifts of $100 or less totaling $1.28 million
- BC passed the midpoint in its $1.5 billion Light the World campaign
- Fr. Neenan welcomed 6,877 BC donors with two or more consecutive years of giving into the William B. Neenan, S.J. Society. Established in 2009, the Neenan Society boasts 29,918 loyal members
- More than 5,000 alumni, family and friends turned out for Reunion Weekend 2011
- The Gasson Society reached new heights with more than 1,000 alumni, parents, and friends making gifts of $10,000 or more to BC
