Welcome Message from Vincent J. Quealy

Welcome to the Boston College Alumni Association

A Letter from Vincent J. Quealy

I'm very pleased to serve as president of your Alumni Association. I've maintained a long and rewarding association with Boston College as a student, as an alumnus, as a parent, and as a volunteer. I share with all alumni a deep affection for this place.

Boston College will celebrate this year the 150th anniversary of its founding. It's a remarkable milestone in the history of our alma mater. It's remarkable, as well, to consider the dramatic growth and prosperity which Boston College has enjoyed in those 150 years, from its early beginnings in the South End of Boston to its standing among the nation's preeminent universities today. It's a university rich in diversity, rich in its Jesuit tradition and influence, rich in the promise of its future. It is surely a university of which all alumni can be proud.

BC's continued advancement will depend, as it always has, largely on the commitment and generosity of its alumni, and so I encourage all alumni to expand and enhance their connections to BC and to increase their level of investment in its mission and in its future.

Boston College has the largest Catholic university alumni community in the world, numbering more than 165,000 members across the globe. BC alumni are everywhere engaged in meeting the needs of our community and of our world.

I invite you to join in the effort to make a difference at Boston College, to enlist as a volunteer for your class or for a regional alumni chapter, or to donate in support of BC’s strategic initiatives, assuring that financial aid will always be available to deserving students of every background. Every alumnus who participates and every gift enriches the entire university community and inspires others to support Boston College in its ambition to "light the world."

Warmly,

Vincent J. Quealy '75, P'06, P'07, P'10
