Fourth Sunday of Lent

For Reflection:

“There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out all fear…” (1 John 4: 16b-18)

Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:31-32)

Do you believe love wins out? Both women encountered God’s love and forgiveness from each other. Have you had an experience like this in your life that you can bring to mind and sit with to reencounter God’s love and forgiveness?

Can you believe and understand that God is proud of you (because God made you in God’s image) and understands your particular life and waits for you to embrace and strengthen you through God’s healing love of forgiveness?
