Patrick Cadigan '57 'P'91

Dr. Patrick “Pat” F. Cadigan ’57, P’91, grew up in Cambridge, Mass., and attended Boston College High School and Boston College. A loyal benefactor of both, Cadigan cemented his commitment to his alma maters last year with a major dual gift that led to the establishment of the Cadigan Alumni Center. A “home away from home” for all BC alumni, the Cadigan Center is the headquarters of all alumni volunteer efforts and the activities and programs of the Alumni Association. The University’s Advancement Office is also housed in the Cadigan Alumni Center.

The relationship Cadigan has had with Boston College has been a long and generous one. A member of the Shaw Society, he has graciously named both a biology laboratory in Higgins Hall and a faculty office in the new Stokes Hall. His willingness to deliver the support BC needs to continually provide a world-class education has set a positive example for Eagles everywhere.

Following his graduation from Boston College, Cadigan began his career at Sylvania Electronic Systems. He followed the high-tech boom to the West Coast and eventually became president and CEO of the Electronic Engineering Company of California. Upon retiring from that role, he held leadership positions in several other high-tech companies. He later expanded his equally successful career in real estate investment and is now one of the largest private real estate holders in Orange County.

Cadigan lives in Corona del Mar, Calif., with his wife, Dr. Tandra Cadigan.
